Biography

Shiyi Gan is a fourth-year student of a PhD program in Biological Sciences. Her study is focused on the structural pharmacology of GPCR. Resolving GPCR structures by cryoEM, which provide theoretical basic for structure-based drug discovery. Shiyi Gan obtained a master’s degree from Sun Yat-Sen University. She used to work on vaccine for the avian influenza virus during her graduate study. After that, she worked as a research assistant in the Institute of Animal Science, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In this period, she published 2 papers as the first author and applied for 1 National Invention Patent. Also, she got her ‘Assistant Research Fellow’ title.
